Wind power applications

Three speeds are to be monitored separately at a wind power plant:

1. The speed of the slowly turning rotor (the rotor shaft)
   
2. The speed of the generator (switching threshold 1)
   
3. A further speed of the generator (switching threshold 2).

As a result dangerous operating conditions are able to be detected reliably at the wind power plant.

Solution:
The ROTAS speed monitor has two separate relay outputs, which can be freely programmed for switching operations (direction, threshold, hysteresis, opening, closing). They allow flexible monitoring solutions to be configured for wind power plants.
